Looks yummy. We started a garden for the first time in about 10 years. Tonight we cutting into a fresh 26 lb watermelon grown in the back yard. We are lucky here in the desert to have 3 to 4 growing seasons a year. Anyway first visit to your blog and will have it bookmarked.

Hi - I noticed your comment on GF girl's stuffing recipe. This is our first GF Tday and wondering if you have a "dressing" recipe. Have lived in Portland, OR since 93 but grew up in Virginia and hoping to recreate some semblance of what our kids are used to. If not, we'll go with GF girl's bready version.

Thanks!

What a beautiful garden. Gardening is something I figure is the logical next step to cooking/food blogging because I'd love to grow my own food!

I love snowpeas too....great as a snack with hummus.

that linoleum is older than the 60's. it's got to be from the first half of the 50's, if not older. This photo dates the floor shown as circa 1950, a look at old advertisements from the time will probably show similar styles. http://charltonsplace.com/images/MidwestTrip/Michigan/IMG_1787.JPG

I just love the quote by Somerset Maugham. I couldn't agree more. I always tell my wife that the best thing she brought to our marriage was a nice HOT breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, potatoes, juice, tea)...

And if you don't eat a nice hearty breakfast, it sure makes it hard to get through the day. :) Porridge and tea just doesn't cut it!
