Santa came early this year, arriving tonight carefully disguised as my husband. He brought a present to help me and my computer make it through the holidays: a bright shiny new laptop battery. The old battery could hold a charge for half an hour, tops, and then the laptop would shut down without warning. This did not inspire a festive holiday spirit.
My new battery has just finished charging, and my computer tells me that I could compute wirelessly for almost five hours. However, I’m not going to do that; instead, I’m going to go snuggle up with my own personal Santa Claus.
