1. First farmers market of the year, and the first time I’ve been in two weeks (a long time between markets for me). Despite December’s record-breaking cold and snow, farmers had vegetables!
2. Phone call from a dear friend who lives on the east coast, whom we don’t see or talk with nearly often enough.
3. GoldRush apples. Though golden and delicious, definitely not golden delicious. Much more flavorful and crisp.
4. Playing with Christmas presents: a new macro lens and photographic lighting system. (Click on “GoldRush apples” above to see one of my first shots.)
5. The smile on Paul’s face when Sergei jumps up onto his lap and settles down to be snuggled (which he did several times today).

Oooh, am jealous of your macro lens. Can’t wait to see your new shots. I got one of those short bendy tripods like yours. Yay!
