I don’t want you to get the idea that we don’t buy toys for the McKittens; we do. We go through a couple dozen fur mice and weasels each year. And we make toys for them, too, out of bits and pieces that would otherwise (and do eventually) become trash: ribbons from gifts, balls made of aluminum foil or used sheets of sticky paper from the “lint” roller, string from… wherever we get string (few packages are tied up with it these days).
But the toys we give the cats aren’t enough; they are always looking for more things that are fun to chase or chew or catch or claw. Today, while I was taking a few (dozen) photos of the cats, Sergei found a new toy, which he picked up, carried onto our bed and batted around a bit.
A new toy labeled Canon. I took a couple of photos, then I took the toy lens cap away from him.
I am a mean cat mommy.
Let’s go see if there are more cat toys over at the Friday Ark.
