This morning, there was a sheen of frost on the roof of our garage. At least I think it was frost; the air certainly felt cold enough. I’ll admit that I’m out of practice dealing with cold. This autumn has seemed warmer and sunnier than usual, and this morning’s cold surprised me. I remembered my scarf, but forgot my gloves. When I walked in the door this evening, I set my purse and briefcase down, then reached out to rest my hands on a warm radiator.

When the temperature dips, our 100-year-old radiators kick into action. I love radiant heat, and I love the lacy detailing on these heavy cast iron fins.

I love the sound of radiators. They remind me of grade school. I think that ages me.
That is bar none the prettiest radiator I have ever seen (and I’ve seen a few in my day). Thanks for this great photo!
Nice shot!
