All day long, we were waiting for snow. Schools were closed, because we were going to get snow. Streets were salted and sanded, because we were going to get snow. People worked from home, because we were going to get snow. And all around Puget Sound, other communities were blanketed in snow. Multiple inches of snow in many locations. If you looked at a satellite photo of our area, you’d see a large doughnut of precipitation. And in the hole of that doughnut: Seattle. Getting no snow at all.

What to do while you’re waiting for snow? Make-a-Flake. It’s becoming a tradition for me.

In Spokane’s South Hill (where I live) we have gotten 15 inches since 10am yesterday, expecting 6 more by this afternoon. Luckily my husband managed to make it to a friends house but now his van is snowed in.
So I just wanted to let you know, I have a few inches to spare and I can ask the powers that be if they would please share!
