Today Paul felt (just barely) well enough to go to work. He brought home one of the perks of working for a thriving software startup: a new toy! This was a “prize” for his work during a particular period; this being a modern sort of company, everyone got a prize.
When I saw the box containing the Flip Mino, I squealed a little. (To hear someone else describe my reaction, you’d think I’d jumped up and down and screamed. The words “spaz” and “attack” were used together. Ahem.) I’ve wanted one of these little camcorders since seeing Vicki’s videos. I thought about buying one just last week. Way to manifest what I want in my life, eh?
Sergei had a new toy tonight, too — a rattle-bodied rabbit-fur critter we call Weasel. Actually, this particular toy is Weasel XII… or maybe even XVI.
Sergei loves him some Weasel.
I’m going to love this new toy, too.
UPDATE: Does the video of Sergei show up in your browser? It has disappeared from mine, although the code is straight from YouTube. If you can’t see it here, you can see it at the source.

Phil got me one for my birthday and it’s really really fun. I haven’t played with it nearly enough yet. As for videos: I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.
Your Sergei reminds me so much, in temperament and body type of my cat Nash. http://www.flickr.com/photos/asunseeker/79788516/in/set-1698215/
However, Nash’s toy of choice is a twistie. Any house cleaning effort normally yields treasure troves of these tucked between the cushions of the couch or stashed in his water bowl.
How wonderful to see Sergei in action! Handsome *and* athletic. And yes, the video showed up properly on my browser…
I’d like to do more video, but Ivy isn’t that into play-times, and Maddie has already beaten all her toys. Must go get new ones then… Nice smackdown by Sergei around 1:20.
