Music and Cats

Today’s CSA box was heavy!

This week, our friends from Local Roots Farm filled up our box with:

• Bag of salad mix
• Tricolor beans (purple, green and yellow are a beautiful combination)
• Two kinds of squash (one zucchini-ish, one long yellow crookneck)
• Bunch of radishes with greens
• Bunch of beets with greens
• Broccoli
• The largest shallot I’ve ever seen (not pictured)
• Two ancho (a.k.a. poblano) chile peppers
• A cucumber
• All-blue potatoes

We had two no-shows this week; multiply all of the above by three to picture what I just carefully — barely! — fit into our refrigerator! Yikes! Coworkers and/or neighbors will be receiving veggies…
