As I was working in the kitchen a few minutes ago, mixing up the batter for sourdough pancakes (to ferment overnight) and putting a half flat of the hugest, sweetest blackberries I’ve ever tasted onto cookie sheets (to go into the freezer), I was thinking about Not Posting today. And then I realized that this is the fourth anniversary of my starting Music and Cats. And I thought that deserved some small mention. Four years in, I remain unclear as to what I want this blog to be. Perhaps that’s just the nature of this beast.
And, as it’s Friday, a cat photo — an old one of Lyra, Sasha and Sergei (who, thankfully, are getting along better these days). These cats truly have been a means of refuge for us through some very hard times.
