Fizzy coffee is actually really good - a la Bibi Caffe, an Italian coffee soda drink. Served over ice with half and half, of course.

Wait! I just glanced at this before reading the more recent carrot post. You're making your own fizzy water!? I drink perrier with lime and just the smallest smidge of cranberry juice- all day long. Come 6pm and I add a smidge of vodka to that. So, lots of green bottles plus the cost! How much space does this system take? If it's still something you're actively doing a month from now, I want to know. Could you post pictures?

Great post. I've been trying to replace my San Pellegrino habit (which replaced my Diet Pepsi habit), but Prosecco just makes me sleepy.

How funny. We've gone the same route this year, for much the same reasons. But not having any whiz-bang do-it-yourselfers in this house, we went with Soda Club (http://www.sodaclub.com) instead of building our own. They also make nice, heavy-duty bottles that are recommended to last for 3 years.
