Music and Cats

As the summer goes on, each week’s CSA box is more crowded. The list of veggies in today’s box may look the same as previous weeks, but the vegetables are larger, and there are more of them. Here’s what we pulled out of our box today:

• Bunch of rainbow chard
• Bunch of carrots
• Bunch of Walla Walla sweet onions
• 2 Kohlrabi
• Snow peas
• Mystery lettuce #1 (Flashy Trout’s Back?)
• Mystery lettuce #2 (large, green, unlobed)
• Bunch of fresh dill (Smells so good!)

For the second time in seven weeks, someone didn’t pick up their box today… which means an extra share of veggies for us! We’ll be able to use the carrots, onions and snow peas, but there’s no way I’m going to eat four heads of lettuce this next week. I’m sure one or two of my coworkers will be happy to have some gorgeous fresh greens.
