At what was Sergei staring? I don’t know; I was busy trying to capture that intensely focused gaze.

Very cute. Do all your cats have Russian names?
Friday Ark #187…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …
Oh those green eyes are stunning. And that furry little face isn’t bad either.
Natalie: Only the brothers, Sasha and Sergei, have Russian names. Those are the names their foster mom gave them, and they seemed to fit, so we kept them. Of course, they also have lots of nicknames. Lyra, our little gray kitty, is named for the character Lyra Silvertongue in the Philip Pullman “His Dark Materials” trilogy.
Mrs. G: I am particularly fond of his two white eyebrows.
This looks like the “if looks could kill” stare, one that goes right through its subject. Very handsome.
Oh my gosh, I absolutely LOVE the “His Dark Materials” trilogy!!!! The fact that you named one of your cats after Lyra makes me so happy LOL.
What a lovely pic of Sergei! I am *so* jealous! I’ve been trying forever to get a good shot of Ivy and I either have the flash wash her fur out and silver it or I go with no flash and get no detail. How *do* you do it? And yes, I’m aware that it helps to have a model as handsome and dignified as Sergei!
What a stunning picture! We used to have a tuxedo cat a lot like this one.
I’m suddenly inspired to blog about our cats again. They’re quite accomplished travellers at this point, getting acquainted with yet another house in another neighborhood.
Thanks for the inspiration, and peace,
Tim
