Feline Not-quite-Friday: Shades of gray

Lyra half lit

Like most cats, Lyra loves sunshine. However, she rarely lounges entirely in the pools of light on furniture or floor. Instead, she’ll lie part in sun and part in shade. On this particular day, only her little gray nose and silvery paws were in the light.

My heart goes out to Elisson and his family, following the loss of another lovely, loving and well-loved gray (tortie) girl, Matata.

Thanks so much for your kind words.

Matata was the friendliest, most in-your-face kitty I’ve ever known – or heard tell of. Her loss leaves a huge hole in our lives…but the comfort extended by our friends from all around the Bloggy-Sphere helps ease the hurt.

Ahhhh- I stop by and read this sad news about Matata! I’ll go by there in a moment. I know how much Elisson and family loved her and I always enjoyed posts about her.

Lyra is such a girl. All soft and delicate. How have you been?
