Now that it’s December, I’m ready for the holidays. I’m ready for lights glittering on houses and in trees, for firelight and candles burning. I’m ready for the scents of pine and fir, cinnamon and orange, and woodsmoke. I’m ready for the Nutcracker and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I’m ready for caroling. And I’m ready for an Advent Calendar.
Last year was my first participating in Holidailies. I created a bloggy Advent calendar, with an image for each of the first 24 days of December. I enjoyed it so much that I’m doing it again. I hope you’ll enjoy it, too. (If you’re coming from the Holidailies portal, you’ll see the entire post when you arrive here, so the line below about opening the window for that day, well, you’ll have done that already.)

While most of the flowering plants in our rockery have hunkered down for the winter, this armeria keeps sending up small pink blooms. This afternoon’s snow decorated them beautifully.

where???
That snowfall was just the right amount and duration. And it made for some nice frozen flower pictures. I look forward to your Advent calendar!
