The McKitten boys are lounging at the foot of our bed; each has his left front paw resting on the footboard. Are they comparing their furry feet? Knocking on wood? Checking their manicures? Playing last one to let go of the footboard wins?
I would ask them, but I know they’d never tell.
(Look closely, and you’ll see that the footboard bears the scars of many feline forays to and fro.)

So other people have scratch marks and shredded furniture, too? Okay. I thought it was just me and my cats.Phewwwww.
Mine don’t just shred and scratch furniture, they destroy curtains, carpet, china, coaxial cable and lamps too. Their trail of destruction is well documented.
I prefer to think of those scratches as ‘antiquing’. Much easier to have the cats do it than to whack the furniture with chains and things, like on those home shows on TV.
I love their paws! They both look very content and beautiful!
Cheers,
Rosa
HGTV may come calling, Paul. A homedesign show–shabby chic? With cats as designers.
Lovely photo of those pretty kitties!
Joanna: Scratches all over the house… fortunately, rarely on us.
Mog: Your cats are clearly outstanding!
Paul: We’ll take cat claw antiquing over the other kind any time, yes?
Rosa, sammawow: The kitties and I thank you.
