Feline Friday: M marks the spot

Each morning, I gather Sasha into my arms to greet the morning at our east-facing bathroom window. As he relaxes against me, I lift him toward my face, and gently kiss the ‘M’ on his forehead. His warm, soft body rumbles in my hands. He tilts his head back, just long enough to catch my gaze, then turns his attention back to the world beyond the window.

Sasha, you are gorgeous. In fact, I think you might be a twin to our lovely Gemini cat! Give a kiss for my human to. I’ll just have to pounce!

I had a cat named Sasha, many years ago, what a feisty little sweetheart she was. I love the M’s on tabbies…beautiful. :)

What a beautiful morning ritual. Sometimes the more subtle things are the most touching – a headbump, or a kiss. It must be a wonderful way to start the day, for both of you. :)

This post reminds me of a favorite longtime cat- she was mine before I had anyone else in my young adult life but stayed around long enough to be a friend to both children- about 20 years. Her name was McTab- not very feminine but it fit her Mackintosh Tabby “M” to a T. Very sweet temper. As I read your morning ritual I could clearly remember scooping that cat up in the mornings.

You have an M? I have an M too! My humans like to kiss my M and scratch my head! I must say it is good for me too.
