What does this cat want?

Not petting. This cat likes petting, and arches his back under your hand, but when you stop… Mrerr… mrerr… prrowrrr.

Oh, this cat wants a stalk of wheat from the Thanksgiving flower arrangement. To hear him tell it, this cat needs a stalk of wheat. Mrerr… mrerr… mrerrrrrr… Lovely, crunchy wheat.

It does not matter that the prickly awns on the stalks cause this cat to make horrible gakking, choking sounds after chewing on them. Mrerr… mrerr… prrowrrr.

This cat is more polite than some bunnies, but no less insistent. Mrerr… mrerr… mrerr… …mrerr, mrowrrrrr.

What will happen next? Will you:
(a) ignore this cat’s request, no matter how long and piteous his begging.
