It was a glorious morning for a farmers market - sunny enough to make produce and people shine, warm enough to coax jackets and sweatshirts off shoulders, breezy enough to waft the fragrance of bread and berries down the street. After waiting in line for eggs and chicken from Skagit River Ranch, and selecting a beautiful piece of halibut at Wilson Fish, we wandered among the stalls, stopping for asparagus, chard and pea shoots, cherries, garlic, rhubarb and strawberries, cheese. I paused just as often to photograph whatever caught my eye. Was I was wearing rose-colored glasses? It certainly looks that way.

Gorgeous… I wish we had a market like this… of course then I wouldn’t have the variety as you do here. We did have some great strawberries this year.. Nyssa picked some from one of the many local farms. Hope the blueberries are good as well!
Gorgeous photos. Was this the new Queen Ann market? Love, Mom
Oh, how beautiful. And look…it’s the mighty Chioggia striped beet!
You have whet my appetite for a Seattle farmer’s market. Can’t wait til August! (Max is chomping at the bit, too.) We missed you today for Father’s Day!
