Your cats are beautiful. I also have three cats that are my life. My husband and I have no children just our fur covered ones and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Hi!
I like the picture of your cat, really nice (I also own a cat), but I was about
to complain about the violin (because I have hear that cat guts were used to make strings for the violins) until I read:

Violin Strings
Violin strings are made from a variety of materials, such as various types of steel, nylon, silk, perlon and real animal gut wrapped in aluminum or silver or even gold. The gut strings are often referred to as "cat gut" but are in fact made from the intestines of sheep. A string made from real cat guts would be much too short and weak for use on bowed instruments.

So, why the term "cat gut"? The Encyclopedia Britannica states that an Italian term for violin was "kit" and hence a gut string would be called a "kit gut." This in time developed into "cat gut." Another explanation is that when gut strings were first manufactured in Europe, the best strings came from Catagniny, Germany. They were so superior to other strings that players demaned Catagniny gut or "Cat gut."

Lovely pic!
And what a great expression "having a case of fur withdrawal" - which I also have when away, one week is ok, more than that and the absence is getting a bit too much...

You always have such beautiful pictures on here, with such wonderful definition of colour! I really love the picture in this entry, it's so peaceful and calming. And it's so true about favourite places to rest and being able to predict it - that's so cute and shows that they were really comfy with their cat sitter!

Our home is exactly the same way! Our next door neighbor is our cat sitter - she has a really cute little dog and she enjoys visiting with my cats, without her dog, of course. And I love coming home to see two upturned faces. My husband says they even recognize my car because they are not at the door if he is home first, but they are always at the door when I come home. Love those kitties! And, no I'm not a "crazy cat lady" either!

This pic is soo sweet.
I kno what you mean, I miss the boys very much when I have to leave them at my parents' thankfully this does not happen very often nor for long...
But one needs holidays too, don't we?
