I’m here to correct a huge, hideous misconception–there is NO SUCH THING as cats stealing human spots; rather, the humans have stolen the cats’ spots, and the sweet, innocent, yet put-upon kitties are only waiting for a chance to claim what should have been theirs the whole time. The only modest compensation they have for being so long-suffering is the residual warmth generated by the interloping human. Thank you for allowing me to correct this misconception (and the opportunity to admire your extremely handsome companion!)

My pooch has decided that his spot is my Sweetheart’s side of the bed. Sweetheart isn’t trained yet, so I have to coax him to my side–because I am a well trained human.

With seven felines, you can imagine how it goes here. On the rare occasion that five decide to sleep on my bed at the same time… frankly, I might as well move into the den, as there is NO room on the bed. That would only lead to a flow of cats to the den where at least three would lay on top of me. Not just beds, but computer chairs, recliners and sofas are occupied. And at supper. With three of us there is a free chair for Mr. Rhett. He would however, prefer one of ours. It literally takes him two seconds after anyone gets up for something, for him to be in that chair. I already know how he will meet his final demise… my mom will not see him and sit on him one day! Mr. Rhett is a lover, but no one will ever equate this Clark Gable with Einstein.
