Sergei knows he’s handsome… but, like most of us, he likes to be told. So while I shot him posing on our bedroom windowsill, I kept telling him what a gorgeous fellow he is. In between exposures, I could hear him purring.

Oh he is GORGEOUS! And yes, they LOVE being told. My 25# Maine Coon cat Sammy sounds like an outboard motor when I’m grooming him and telling him how handsome he is. I groom him twice daily (in the Springtime for sure since he has 3 coats) and generally harvest enough loose fur to knit another cat! But there could never be another quite like my Sam!

Sergei is the one with the glorious green eyes. Yes, of course you must tell him how good he is and how handsome and how the women all adore him. Cats have egos too!
