Feline Friday: The language of ears

Sasha is usually an ears-forward cat, inquisitive and engaged. But not this day. Those tilted ears say I’m not in the mood. I hear you, McKitten.

You can cheer up by visiting the Friday Ark on the obvious day, Weekend Cat Blogging at Champaign Taste on Saturday, and Carnival of the Cats on Sunday.

The photos of your cats are beautiful. I often come here and lurk. Thanks for sharing. Reading about Lyra, I hope that she’s doing well.

Lyra has on her “Bucky” look (from the cartoon Get Fuzzy). Our Miss Clover (sounds like a movie title) has this look most of the time. I tell her she has that “I got up on the wrong side of the bed” look every day. It must be the Diva thing.

That is really odd, my cat Aos never holds his ears like that until I snapped a picture of him today, ironically it was taken after I read your post…

That’s what I call “persnickity ears”….when my cat does that I know something’s about to happen!

I’m getting something else from those ears: astute intelligence, wary confidence, a sense of knowing . . .
