After a gray, blustery day, I wasn’t expecting much from the evening sky. Glancing up from my computer as the daylight faded, I noticed a shading of lavender at the corner of my window. I grabbed my camera, flung open the window, and leaned out to capture the glorious purples, pinks and golds.

Excuse me while I kiss this sky, too. Sometimes, lovely pictures present themselves after a humdrum day. I’m glad you heeded the call.
Wasn’t it amazing? We were driving home from a mundane shopping trip to Fred Meyer — but we still love those mundane moments — and we spotted this as we were driving back to Queen Anne. My god.
Beautiful! The only time I like pink is when it shows up in the sky. Carmi has showed up in the comments of the last four blogs I’ve visited- perhaps I should go investigate?
Thank you for these stunning photos.
An old saying from the ’70’s: God don’t make no junk! (and we weren’t referring to heroin)
Beautiful shot!
I bet it kissed you back!
Hi, old apartment that I see there all dark and sad. I would have liked to be in the kitchen there, checking out that view in person. Thanks for sharing it.
This has to be where Monet found his inspiration for color!
So gorgeous, those colors–especially the first one–a nice balance of cool and warm colors and sharp and soft shapes.
