I love your flower photos. I can hardly wait until I can take flower photos again, instead of white snow and barren earth.

Ah, Kimberly- I can almost smell them. Those purple hyacinths are stunning. Still, I believe I'll stay hunkered down in here in Florida for another couple months because I'm quite certain, at 5 degrees, there are no flowers out and about in Chicago.

If you promise to keep taking pictures like that, I'll pray for an early spring, too. They're just delightful...they practically jump off the screen with their color and depth.

Our plants thought that Spring had come. Camellia's were in full bloom, redbuds and even some of the dogwood. Across the street three daffodils glowed yellow, although the crocus had better sense. Then the deep freeze hit, snow for fifteen minutes on Thursday and again last night. It looks as if th redbuds fared the worst, dropping all their petals.

I love the fragrance of hyacinth.
"If of thy mortal good thou art bereft
And of thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left,
Sell one, and with the dole
Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul."

I am so with you on this one. I have some sort of flower sprouting out of the planter in front of my new house already--daffodils, I'm guessing. And the camellia bush is getting ready, too. And sunshine all weekend to tease us.

Oh I hope that spring comes early for you both metaphorically and climatically. For us I prefer more days of Houston type winter but a metaphorical spring. We just had hot apple cider in the Acapulco ware cups. That always lifts my spirits. Love you, B
