in Holidailies

For days after our unseasonably early snow, pockets of white lingered in shady corners. Now the icy clumps have melted, but snow is reappearing in the windows of shops and houses around Seattle. Snow sprayed from a can, snow poured out of bags, snow painted onto glass. I like the snow cut from folded paper best.

flake1For Day 5 of my Holidailes advent calendar, the magic of the internets brings you a cut-out snowflake. ‘Cut’ your own snowflakes at Make-a-Flake. Be careful; this activity is habit-forming.

I am happy to announce that there has been hardly any snow in Ithaca this year. I prefer a paper snowflake over the real one anyday.
