Have you ever tried to photograph your cat while you were petting him? Sasha jumps up onto my desk, and sits on its corner, head tilted. Mrrrowp?… Mrrrowp?… Mrrroooow! I reach out to rub his chin.
When being petted or groomed, Sasha reciprocates, bathing my fingertips and occasionally trying to work out a non-existent tangle in my non-existent fur with his very existent teeth. Ouch! Sasha doesn’t know that his teeth can hurt me. I know that, if I mew like a kitten in pain, he’ll let go. With my free hand, I pick up my camera, and try to capture his contentment at very close range.
Sometimes focus is less important than movement and expression.
I’m late adding links for all of this weekend’s feline festivities: Friday Ark #116, Weekend Cat Blogging #79 hosted by Belly-Timber Angry Cat Blog, and Carnival of the Cats at Hot(M)BC on Sunday.

Perfect photographs, especially the second one. You can really see the contentment.
It is amazing that they can move so fast…. I have one to post that I call “The Ghost of Christmas Past”.
I must admit, I love Sasha– and his cute, fluffy, loving ways! =)
