Since this morning, I’ve had songs running through my head. When it snows, ain’t it thrilling Though your nose gets a chilling We’ll frolic and play the Eskimo way Walking in a winter wonderland This is so unlike me. Not the songs in the head; I usually have some sort of music playing in my brain. It’s just these particular songs. Oh the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful And since we’ve no place to go Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! I am not given to singing Christmasy songs - even the more secular ones - before the beginning of December. So what are these songs doing in my head?
Yup, it’s snowing. In Seattle. In November. The snow has been falling much of the day, interspersed with rain and sleet.
And this evening we do have someplace to go - out to dinner with my parents, at one of Seattle’s hot new restaurants. Fortunately, it’s nearby. And my Yankee husband learned to drive in this sort of weather. And this may be our only snow this year, so we’ll get out and enjoy it.
…In the lane snow is glistening A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight Walking in a winter wonderland.

It looks like someone already has Christmas lights up. Sounds like you get as much snow there as we do at the beach here. Pretty, but not good when no one in the area knows how to drive in it. Good luck!
Wow.. it’s so pretty! It did snow around here too, I’m a little by south of Seattle.. but it was with Rain.. haha!! SO I didn’t get to enjoy a blanket of white snow! Boo!
Wow. Something is definitely off kilter in this world. You got snow… we’ve been having fabulous warm weather… it’s been around 48-50F everyday this weekend and will be continuing into the first half of the week. Such warm weather is unheard of in upstate New York at this time of year! Definitely not complaining but I am very surprised.
Wow. That seems quite early for Seattle. (Giving thanks I moved south where I have to drive to snow.)
