Our nephew Reed, aka Boo, is three today. Happy birthday, Boo!
While Reed’s older brother Max wanted – and got – a big party for his fifth birthday, Reed didn’t want to invite lots of friends over for a party. Instead, his mother told me, Reed wanted to celebrate his birthday at the farm at the Seattle Zoo, where there are farm animals to pet, and a tractor to ride, and even a plastic cow that a future farmer can (attempt to) milk. If only we could have easily accomodated that wish! We’ll go back to the zoo farm next summer, sweet boy.

He also wanted a wooden barn for his farm animals (which Babee was willing to purchase) and a “Go Diego Go Animal Rescue Center (which Babee was not willing to purchase. He received both- and I insisted that the talking rescue center go home with him. It has perhaps the most irritating sound track I’ve ever heard. But the boys loved it. B
