Since I have to go to the office this afternoon, you’ll have to wait to hear about the one step back. Here are progress photos from this morning; you can compare with this post to see what has happened in the past couple of weeks. It’s beginning to look like a real kitchen.
The odd edges in a couple of these photos are the result of poor panning while shooting multiple images. There’s only so much that my photostitch program can handle. Still, you get the idea…

I can’t wait to see it in person! In spite of the various steps back, I know it will be wonderful. And eventually even the glitches will just seem like part of home. (The light switches in College Station were always at an angle. Eventually we just got used to it.) Love, Babee
It is looking very good! One more window and it will really be light and airy.
Wow! Wow, wow, wow!
In that bottom one, are those different colors of tile that you are considering for your backsplash? It’s really startring to shape up!
looks good. How much longer until you can use it?
So close. And yet… .
Can’t wait to see it done.
When I was a tot, my Father and Uncle and I would take walks through my Uncle’s neighborhood and walk onto house lots under construction. From then on I have absolutely loved “building things”–projects of all types, friendships, growing plants, restoring cars (no more of that) and furniture. This looks fantastic. Celebrate!
Not related to this post, but thank you for the fabulous ginger-filled blogging-by-mail package!
I’ll get around to posting about it soon…
It’s getting there . . .
This is going to be such a great kitchen. But it has to be to fit the great cook you obviously are.
Where’s the microwave go?
Progress marches on!
Beautiful! Great progress. And it’s all so tidy. Are you getting excited about cooking in this wonderful space?
