Isabella: Yes, the sink will be under what will - soon, I hope - be a window. The first window that was delivered was the wrong size, so it had to be made again (it's a custom size to match the two windows on the end wall of the kitchen).

Wow, you've come a long way! My question is: where's the sink? You've got everything but the kitchen sink. (Under what looks like is going to be a window?)

Philip, Dee: Thanks! We're really pleased with how it's turning out.

Janeen: Come on over, neighbor!

'mouse: I wanna see those things, too. All in good time, my friend. Would you believe that I have blackberries in the freezer? Soon as that shiny new gas range is hooked up, there's going to be some jam coming out of that kitchen. And did you notice the plumbing stub-out under the range hood? Pot filler!!! For filling up my canner. Now I'll only have to lug the full canner one way.

srp: The training goes a long way in getting the desired result, but there are always things that don't turn out quite as expected, especially in old houses.

Lindy: Yes, only three more weeks to go! Seems like just... uh... two months ago (!) that we tore out the old one. No, the wall is not curved; the photostitching program (which combines multiple photos into one wide angle-ish photo) just makes it look that way. And yes, it's very light and bright - quite a change from the old kitchen.

vicki: Good luck getting settled in to your new home! We lived with our ugly, came-with-the-house kitchen for several years. One thing about waiting a while: the plan that is being built now is MUCH better than the first half dozen plans that I sketched for the kitchen. There is something to be said for living with the space until you really know how you want it to be. After seven years with a horrible late '70's electric stove, we are finally getting a gas range!

I'm watching this renovation closely. WE just moved and our kitchen is TERRIBLE and badly overdue for rehabbing. I'm envious that you are this far along! I have the same question: is that a curved wall? Wait, no it's not- I can see from the other photo. What kind of a stove/oven will you have? I'm cooking on electric and I so much prefer gas. Thanks for sharing these pictures. Keep them coming as you progress.

How lovely. How nice to be trained so you can make your own renovation plans. That way you will surely get it exactly like you want. I can't wait to see the final product.
