Today is our nephew Max’s fifth birthday. His mother reported that the first words she heard this morning were Max’s exclamation, “I love being five!” Dear boy, I hope you continue to be so excited by the arrival of each new year of your life.

Oh my word, that is SO CUTE. I guess I love being 52… the picture is beautiful too. Thanks so much for sharing. Gets my day off to a wonderful start.
Did we love being five as much as the little ones today do?
I wonder.
Happy Birthday Max!!
The unscheduled sleepover to end his wonderful 5th birthday started with this conversation:
“Babee, could I have a sleepover tonight? I did not pack any pajamas but I could sleep in my clothes.”
“But, Max you have your new moose pj’s, so I guess you were meant to sleep over tonight.”
A little later Reed added “Babee, I want to have a sleepover tonight.”
Since he also had new bear pj’s, he too slept over. All three of us slept (or at least two of them slept and I rested) on the floor under our “tent” created with sheets anchored to the large bookshelf unit and various furniture and decorated with helium balloons tied to the corners. It will never make the pages of Dwell but it makes two little boys very happy. Babee
What a fine, optimistic lad! He must have a great auntie!
I think five is a delightful age. I just turned five plus sixty. Even that is pretty good.
