Yesterday began at the Ugly Mug in Soquel, near Santa Cruz, with Janeen, Sue, and our lovely hostess Grace. A Caffe Borgia (the scrumptious espresso/milk/chocolate/orange delight on the left) got my brain running at close to full speed. Free wi-fi and four bloghers made for sporadic conversation, as we all fed our connectivity habits.
After our morning fix, Sue, Janeen and I headed over the hill and up the peninsula to meet up with Chris Clarke in San Francisco. We had lunch at Chef Gia’s, where the honey chile chicken was garlicy, sweet and spicy. What to do after lunch? Have more coffee, of course. Caffe Trieste makes a yummy cappuccino.
Today I’m home in Seattle, where our kitchen remodel is very much in progress. This afternoon, my parents, sister and nephews arrive from Houston for Boy Days 2006. Paul and I are spending the morning trying to bring some semblance of neatness to our crazily disordered house. Paul does still know where to find the espresso machine, and has kept me well caffeinated on fine lattes from Cafe Pablo.
Mr. Coyote likes them, too.

Oh, I have heard very good things about this Cafe Pablo. And If Wile E. likes it, then I’m down with it, too.
He is a Super Genius, after all.

This reminds me that I must visit a couple of coffee houses here in Brooklyn before leaving next week. Too much to see, so little time.
