Yesterday morning, our kitchen walls were the cool blue-white of fresh drywall primer. This morning, they have one coat of sandy yellow paint. By tomorrow morning, they will have two. Now you know how we’re spending our weekend.
On the floor is a sample of our linoleum, which is scheduled for installation tomorrow and Tuesday. In this photo, you can’t really see the flecks of red, cream and sand mottling the yellow. This pattern isn’t as cool as the original linoleum, but it will be a vast improvement over the flooring that came with the house.
Our new kitchen will have a warm golden glow even on the darkest Seattle winter days.
