Feline Friday: Sergei plots a snuggle

Sergei is quite the snuggler, and is not the type to politely inquire as to whether his intended snugglee is in the mood. When Paul is sitting or lying in bed, Sergei walks right up onto his chest and settles in. Sometimes he snuggles for only a few seconds; other times he falls asleep draped across Paul.

While Paul enjoys Sergei’s affectionate attention, Miss Lyra is not always a willing snuggle buddy. Sergei sometimes resorts to stealth snuggling: he finds Lyra sleeping, and snuggles up against the part of her farthest from her teeth and front claws. His attempts are not always successful; sometimes Lyra wakes up, and either bops him or runs away. But other times…

Sweet snuggling success, and the softest pillow around.

If the animals at the Friday Ark don’t watch out, Sergei may snuggle up to them. The Carnival of the Cats will be at Musings… (a.k.a. For the Junta) on Sunday.
