The Ballard Farmers Market was hopping this morning, with more than the usual number of people (especially men and children) carrying fresh flowers. Some held small paper cones, while others cradled armloads of blooms; all had happy, expectant looks on their faces. I imagine many of those bouquets being hand-delivered to smiling women, along with a perhaps sticky hug and kiss and a “Happy Mother’s Day!” I wish that I could hand-deliver these glorious bouquets to my mother, my grandmother and my sister, but they live almost 2000 miles from Seattle.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. I love you.
Happy Mother’s Day, Grandmama. I love you.
Happy Mother’s Day, Melanie. I love you.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in my corner of the blogosphere. These flowers are for all of you.

What a glorious mothers day greeeting even if I did not get to see it until today! I wish I could stick my nose in each of those paper cones to smell the perfume or to tickle my nose with pollen. Love you very much, Mom
Yay for Mother’s Day flowers! I got my mom flowers, and felt like it was such a boring gift, but she seemed genuinely pleased with them.
I miss the market.
Lovely photos, Kimberly! I am so happy to be in your corner of the blogosphere.
My Meg is in the midst of applying for a preservation carpentry project and, of course, I thought of you!
Did you survive the heatwave? ;~)
Thanks for the flowers. I got a beautiful card from all the kitties with a poem and hand written notes. (a little help from Nyssa there) Love these flowers. I think I would need 2GB of memory and probably four Lithium batteries for my camera to spend the day in that market.
Oooh. I’ll take those scrumpious tulips. Al of them.
Thanks!!
