What a sweetie! And yes, I did want to rub away that bit of sleep! I always do it for Milo, although I'm sure he could care less. I think he thinks I'm obsessed with his eyes as I'm forever poking at him, unable to let a bit of eye crud go un-wiped.

I just noticed Anne Lamott on your list of writing links. How I loved "Bird by Bird" ... You know, I've been looking for something to read and nothing in my pile of unread books tempts me at the moment. I think I'll pick up "Bird by Bird" again ... Thanks for the inspiration!

I've always read your carefully constructed link sections.

Willow usually has this problem. She had a blocked tear duct and a veterinary ophthamologist did surgery on it. For a while it was much better but of course, cats have such a capacity to heal that the little duct he formed for her, healed back over. So now we just wipe the eye more often.

My person is always rubbing the sleepies out of my eyes. I don't mind, I get a hug & a kiss after she's done!

Some of us, in the choir, read your carefully constructed sentences in the italicized link section of each Feline Friday?

Do you ever see those very cute (too cute) calendars of posed kittens...and half the kittens have crud in their eye corners? I can't stand to hang them up...I keep wanted to wipe the crud out of them and I keep asking myself...if you were taking posed photos for a calendar with pretty flowers and blankets and flowerpots and toys...wouldn't you wipe the crud out of the kittens' eyes? :)
