This time of year, when the sun’s arc still cuts low across the sky, the best seat in the house for catching rays is the trunk beneath our bedroom’s south-facing windows. As soon as the curtains are open (the humans sure can be slow to let in the morning light!), Miss Lyra claims her place in the sun.
The Friday Ark floats my boat every week. On Sunday, the Carnival of the Cats will be - oh, how exciting! - here at Music and Cats! It’s the Second Anniversary! And because I am a masochist so thrilled to be hosting this special edition, I’m asking you to participate. Whether or not you regularly post photos of your cat(s), why not post one this weekend? Then use the Carnival Submission Form to let me know where to find it. I promise I’ll say nice things about you, your blog and your cat(s).

Friday Ark #78
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Alert: The Fri…
That’s a portrait quality Portrait of Lyra…great shot!
Pretty Lyra; and in this light, with eyes a seafoam green.
My cats are getting really tired of me saying how much I love green eyes on a cat. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Lyra! (and your cohorts)
What a lovely shot of Lyra. She is a gorgeous girl and perfect subject to photogragh. Happy St Pat’s!
After following your blog, I have put a Canon Digital Rebel on my Amazon want list. Your cat pictures have me drooling!
Beautiful picture!! She has striking eyes…
The cat on your header looks just like my Rockie!

Lurkfully,

The world would be so much more interesting if people could have eye colors like cats. I’d like mine to look like Lyra’s.
ok. i’m confuzzled. I’m not sure I get what is expected of a Carnival entry? Your photographs are so professional, and I can never seem to get a decent one of my Rockman. He’s very shiny and always looks washed out in the pictures. So, I’ve just posted some scrapbook pages of my cat on my blog, but I’m not sure what i’m supposed to do about the carnival? help please?
What a serious lady she is. But she seems to be enjoying her patch of sun.
Hi Lyra! You look so happy in your spot of sunshine.
Lots of love
