Cooked cream and milk candy (Sugar High Friday #17)

dulce de lecheToday’s the day to post for Sugar High Friday #17: Dairy, hosted by Andrew at Spittoon Extra… and I’m not ready. I’ve done the cooking: lavender bay laurel panna cotta last night, and dulce de leche tonight. I made the dulce de leche from scratch, which explains both the dark ring of caramelized milk in my saucepan, and the lack of photos of a nicely plated dessert, its recipe(s), and associated (possibly amusing or edifying) commentary here. The saucepan is soaking in my kitchen sink, and I’m going to bed. More words and pictures tomorrow *sigh* Sunday.

oh, yum. This looks like the best sugar high/comfort dessert ever. Will you post the recipe here as well? More pictures, yes. I’ll come looking.
