Feline Friday: Biiiiiggg yawn!

January 20th, 2006 by Kimberly

biiiiggg yawn

After a hard hour of weasel-killing and string-batting, Sergei thinks it’s time for a nap on the new bedroom rug.

See all the animals at the Friday Ark. Meryl Yourish will be hosting the Carnival of the Cats on Sunday.

We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? ALERT: Apologi…

It’s contagious! I sit here looking at Sergei relax and yawn and I want to hop back in bed and curl up too. Oh the life of a cat! Or at least our cats.

Your Lyra looks like my Earnest, and your Sergei looks like my Mewella.

Mewella is teaching her toy mice to swim. Or drowning them in the water dish. I’m not sure which.

A yawning cat is entirely hypnotic. I wonder if they catch yawning from us, as we do from them? Probably not, or I would have noticed, wouldn’t I?

    Oh, I love that photo!
I am envious of this “action” shots. I have taken monthly photos of my cat Jazz since he came home with me in Sept. and I have only been able to get one photo of him walking and meowing , it isn’t a great photo either…
