In Houston, you never know what sort of weather you’ll get for Christmas; a tornado one year is followed by snow the next. This year, Santa brought springtime: temperatures in the 70’s, clear blue skies, soft breezes. Paul and I turned our faces to the sun, soaking up light and warmth for several days before returning yesterday to winter in Seattle.
(I’ve been following the suggestion of a bodyworker that I avoid typing for a couple of days, therefore no posting here. There will be more words later.)

It is amazing how this is. Last year Virginia Beach had a four inch snow the day after Christmas. This year it was almost 60 degrees. Today it rained, predicted but was supposed to move on out to sea and be sunny. That never happened, just a cold mist all day. Beautiful flower!
