Glad of life

Be glad of life, because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up to the stars; to be satisfied with your possessions; to despise nothing in the world except falsehood and meanness, and to fear nothing except cowardice; to be governed by your admirations rather than by your disgusts; to covet nothing that is your neighbors except his kindness of heart and gentleness of manners; to think seldom of your enemies, often of your friends, and to spend as much time as you can, with body and with spirit, in God’s out-of-doors. These are the little guideposts on the footpath to peace.

I knew the first part of that quote but the rest is really beautiful. We had a restful day and a good meal. My daughter IM’d me from Texas and we had moderate temperatures today. Now the north wind is howling at around 21 mph and tomorrow is to be much colder. It was a great day to count blessings and relax a bit from the pressures of life. Absolutely NO shopping for me tomorrow. I will stay as far away from the mall and Walmart as possible. LOL. It’s Friday and I await the lovely pictures of your kittie crew.
