Last night, Sergei was busy shaking to death one of his rabbit fur toys when he spotted a small spider crawling across our bedroom ceiling. Who cares about a fur rattle when there’s real live prey in the room? It didn’t matter to Sergei that the spider was several feet above his head. He watched it and watched it and then watched it some more

Friday Ark… almost like clockwork. Carnival of the Cats will be at Where the Dolphins Play on Sunday.

Did you get dizzy watching him? I wonder if he chatters when he sees a bug. My Scarlett does. In Mississippi we had an open walkway from the loft to Nyssa’s room that looked down over the vaulted den. If we were sitting in the den and Scarlett sat in that walkway she would start chattering at us. I think we must have looked like bugs or aliens to her. It was quite strange.

Sergei is quite the handsome devil!

It’s cricket season here on the East Coast. The boys are spending hours studying the trajectory of crickets in the living room.

Fantastic photo! Sergei looks just like my Boo. It’s amazing how they will spend so much time just studying whatever little thing has piqued their interests.
