What are the colors of a Seattle summer sunset? Apricot, peach, salmon, raspberry, rhubarb, strawberry, plum, cherry (Ranier and a touch of bing), fading to dusky blueberry and, finally, blackberry.
As I drove home from the grocery store this evening, luscious sunset colors winked at me from every west-facing window on my street. Pulling into our driveway, I rushed into the house, calling, “Sweetheart, come outside with me!” Moments later, Paul and I were standing at the viewpoint at the end of our block, savoring the sweet evening air and the colors drizzled across the sky.
In my hurry to share the sunset with my love, I forgot to pick up my camera. I shot this photo of the last raspberry stripe from the window of my office after we returned home.

Hello, Michele sent me!
Seattle is just beautiful. I lived near there as a kid when my father was in the military and would love to go back there to live if it wasn’t so darn expensive!
