A quick trip to the Ballard Farmers’ Market with Nina netted me beautiful young leeks at a favorite veggie and flower stand, a new bar of handmade soap scented with lavender, mint and tea tree oil, tastes of glorious arugula-walnut pesto, hummus, and a Moroccan sauce of roasted tomatoes, apples, shallots, garlic and saffron. Oh, and apricots, lots of apricots… which will be jam in a few short hours.

Even though we have just finished a dinner club feast, your pictures made me very hungry again. Can’t wait to try the apricot jam with some french toast. Love, Barbie
