The McKitten brothers take turns in front of our old, very heavy bevelled glass mirror. Lyra doesn’t bother, as she firmly believes that she is the fairest.
(This mirror was originally installed on the back of a closet door, probably when our house was built in 1908. When we remodelled our bedroom 92 years later, that door no longer fit. We removed the lovely old mirror, which is in remarkably good shape for its age. I intend to have it framed… someday. All of the other doors - such as the one in these pictures - we had stripped of many layers of paint; they are solid old-growth fir. Paul refinished them with a non-toxic oil/wax finish, which shows off the beauty of the wood.)
See the animals at the Friday Ark. Carnival of Cats is at the Oubliette.

Hello! I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your blog. I found you a while ago through Michele’s and have stopped by here often. I hope you don’t mind, but I added you to my blogroll.
Ramona
I love the photo of Sergei. Here’s my -photo of -the- week- question: how can I get photos of my cats that don’t have “green eye” ? Is it the flash? Is it my camera? Thanks.
I need to get myself a nice big mirror like that!
The McKitten brothers are just following approved protocol….check to see that all hairs are in place before meeting the public. They are handsome devils.
What’s the deal with the Friday Ark thing?
